In addition, we are distributors for CGM (Italy), manufacturers of world-class generator-sets, in their own right.
In addition, ELECTRICAL GENERATOR SYSTEMS are able to fabricate generator-sets in South Africa, making use of European main componentry to ensure we meet the most exacting standards.
Recognising the market drive towards Renewable Energy Solutions, Electrical Generator Systems established a Solar PV Division, ELECTRICAL SOLAR SYSTEMS, in 2021. With our comprehensive off-grid or hybrid solutions we are able to offer clean and reliable energy, reducing or eliminating the need for the National Grid.
This step has made ELECTRICAL GENERATOR SYSTEMS (Pty) Ltd the perfect company to assist with all baseload and back-up power requirements.

We are based in Johannesburg, however through our extensive network of technical experts, we are able to supply, install and maintain throughout Sub-Saharan Africa. We are local to ensure you receive the level of service you would expect yet supported by our Global partners to ensure the best technical backup required.
What we deliver
Generator-sets : Quality, efficiency and high product standards are achieved through the use of modern design and manufacturing methods, exceeding international regulations for noise and environmental pollution. Our suppliers have ISO 9001 accreditations, demonstrating our own commitment to quality products. All of this offers the user total peace of mind regarding their safety, product reliability and service.
We specialise in a wide, versatile range of generators from 5kVA to 3600kVA, for which we only use selected petrol and diesel engines such as Perkins, Iveco, Cummins, Volvo and Scania. All products carry a supplier warranty as well as a fully committed after-sales and spares supply through our Global Manufacturers, to support the product in the field.
Our locally fabricated units make use of the same main componentry as our fully imported sets to ensure that the highest quality standards are still achieved.
Solar PV : As every requirement is unique, we will design, source and install a tailor-made solution to meet the project objective – reduced energy costs or complete energy security. Our core objective is to deliver a cost-effective solution whilst making use of the best technology available.
We will give you peace of mind that no matter the size of the project or the technology employed, our network of local engineers will work with our customers and our Installation teams through all phases of the project : Design, Execution, Commissioning and Handover, and post-installation we are able to offer SLA maintenance agreements to our customers.
